Guardianships

Guardianship matters can be tricky, and highly contested in either the case of elderly family members or young children.  So when I say highly contested, I should say very expensive.   You should always keep in the mind what is in the bests interests of the “ward” (now called the Respondent), or the person who is the subject of the guardianship.  With recent changes in the statute and constant evolving case law, it would be wise to consult with an attorney before appearing as either a Guardian or an interested party.
